I have provided some sample menu type pages. These are intended to let you get started quickly. You may modify the menu pages, for example if you don't want customers to be able to create their own account, you can delete that link. While certain files, such as the common.asp file, are best edited with notepad, you can edit the .html files that serve as a pattern for the corresponding .asp page - the page that is actually viewed in the browser with most html editors. You can modify the supplied menu pages to your liking.
The screen above is a sample customer menu page that you might want to use. It provides links, first of all, to the Create Account page which let them put in the information required to let them login to the screen to View (and add) Contacts and Requests. NOTE: I do not provide a means for emailing them their login name and password..
The sample menu also includes links to let them view the Calendar, if you choose to make it available, as well as a link to view and search Frequently asked questions.
The next sample menu I have provided is for you and/or your staff.
The first link on this menu will take you to a screen that shows all contacts and request with customers, while the next option only shows contacts and requests where the Assigned To field matches the Login Name of the currently logged in staff member (or you if you are the lone ranger type of support person).
The third link takes you to a grid view of the Peoples table. The next link is to a page where you can list and search FAQs, but unlike the similar screen for customers you will be able to add, edit and delete FAQs as well.
The next couple of links on this menu are for maintaining two small lookup tables (Company Names and Status Codes).
The Events Database link takes you to a page where you can add, edit and delete Events. Some may find it useful, whether to indicate to the customers holidays or maybe staff availability and so on. the Event description must be brief in order to display well at all, but you can have more than one event record for the same date, if needed. The Events Calendar link just displays the Events in a graphical Calendar view.
Finally, I have created 3 links to some screens that are more "printable" and these can be filtered. I think most will use the more flexible reporting and analytical reports provided in the desktop application, but these are provided in case they are useful to some who will mostly use the web interface.
